Lee and Holly came to visit for a week a little while ago. We know them from Providence, though now they are living in Toledo, Ohio. We all loved the company and Maya had a ball hanging out with them both. We went to the beach one day, but even though it was warm in our garden, it was freezing cold by the water, so we gave up on that after a little while. Another day, we went downtown Charleston, where we had lunch and walked around looking at the beautiful architecture. Thanks to Lee for the pictures from that outing - It's not so often that you see the three of us together, so there - enjoy. Lee, Holly and I also had a go at the garden while Keith was at work. The veggie garden and the rest of the yard needed some serious work after the winter months before I could start sowing new stuff for the summer. Got some sunflowers going on one side of the garden, so we'll see how they'll do. Got some flower bulbs in the ground, one tiny row of strawberries, lots of herbs, string beans, peas, spinach, watercress, cucumbers and tomatoes. Hmm exciting! Both Lee and Holly are excellent cooks and we enjoyed many evenings in with home cooking and relaxing times. We were sad to see them go.... Well Maya is living by the scenario of 'out of sight out of mind' so thankfully there were no tears there. I'm sure there will be plenty to come. Now we can look forward to my mum visiting for a little over two weeks at the beginning of April and our friends from London - Melanie and Stephen visiting in the middle of May.
